Your child has a right to a quality education.
Teachers, administrators and other school employees almost always want what is best for our children. However, they have also have their own interests- limited resources, administrative mandates, traditions and more, that can directly contradict what is best for a student. I can navigate the often confusing and overly complicated world of education on your behalf, to get your child the quality education they are entitled to.
IEP/504 Reviews
The IEP/504 process is incredibly complex. I can review your child's IEP/504 plan and attend the meetings to help you navigate this process and make certain your child's needs are being met as guaranteed by federal law.
Problem Solve Conflicts with your School
It can be intimidating to attempt to resolve conflicts your child is having at school. Whether its conflicts with bullies, teachers, policies or anything else- many fear that addressing these issues can create more problems for their child or that they will be perceived as a 'helicopter parents' or 'whiny'. I can advocate for your child and work to resolve whatever issues you may have in a non-confrontational manner that doesn't destroy relationships. I can even protect you and your child's identity in many situations, if you prefer to remain anonymous.

I Bring Experience
15 years in education, 8 as a special education teacher.
I have worked at the administrative, elementary and high school level for the last 15 years. I have taught and co-taught in math, science, social studies, English, health and special education while managing a case load of students on IEPs. My experience inside a surprisingly complex system could be the edge you need.
